Youth Pastor's Institute
Youth ministry is a vital part of the local church. Due to the rise of student
population on a national level, with 33 million teens in this generation,
the largest since the baby boomers, the need for Youth Pastors is at an all time high!
Some of the great leaders of youth ministry have said, "One of the top reasons
for the decline of youth ministries is due to the improper training of Youth Pastors."
We have not spent the time properly training our future Youth Pastors
but rather instating anyone available. Thus, giving us the results - improperly trained Youth Pastors.
The Youth Pastor's Institute has just completed our first year in
training Youth Pastors, and is better than ever. You will learn different tools ,
and skills while in the Youth Pastor's Institute through different courses described below.
The environment of Master's Commission USA combined with specialized youth ministry
training will help you grow character, team element, social skills,
the ability to work with big teams, loyalty, leadership, etc... Pastors all over
America are looking for Master's Commission graduates to fulfill the call
to reach the youth of America. Will it be you?
Courses
Team Projects: The element of "team" eliminates the one-man-show mentality.
"Together everyone accomplishes more" is how we train youth ministry.
Running an effective team will determine your ability to run big events,
concerts, illustrated sermons, etc... Presenting the vision of these events
to the pastor or board is imperative in gaining the support and the heart of
your pastor. Sharing Vision with passion, clarity, confidence, facts,
and budget options will clearly convey your heart and the task at hand.
Acquiring the ability to expose the heart of your ministry will give you the open
door and access to run these events successfully.
Public Speaking: "A lot of preaching is motivated by love for preaching, not love of people"
Many people want to "preach the word" with all power and wisdom.
The Bible says "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world
to confound the wise; but God has chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things that are mighty" At our best we are foolish and weak.
We need to leave the power and wisdom up to God and just give our best.
Knowing your audience in a culturally diverse nation will effect your ability
to successfully communicate the word. That's why Paul said "I have become all
things to all men that by all possible means I might save some" 1 Corinthians 9:22.
He believed it was important to understand the culture of those to whom you minister.
You will learn to speak in many different forums from speaking to 50 kids in a dirt
lot in the inner city, to a 6,000 member church, a new local youth ministry of 50 teens,
a small ballroom at a hotel for a retreat with 14 sold out youth, to 200 kids in Children's
church, or the businessman who doesn't know the Lord. This is what Paul meant when he said,
"All things to all men" - it meant reaching every age, culture, race, and lifestyle.
"The world does not need sermons, it needs messages. You can go to seminary
and learn how to preach sermons but you will have to go to God to get messages."

Cultural Connections: Cultural awareness does not happen by accident.
Knowing culture is more than understanding a style or someone's ethnic background,
but is learning the people on purpose. We must know what they are listening to!
What do they like? Where do they like to eat? What brand of clothes do they like?
How do they respond to authority? Are they into long-term commitment?
What are they willing to sell out to? These are all the questions that
must be answered to know if you understand the culture. Knowing the culture
of your city will create connecting points with your youth ministry.
We will teach how to be relevant with computers with Power Point, Word and Excel.
Know the basics of how to communicate to the "instant message", "text message", and "myspace" culture.
